Being world’s biggest laptop maker,
Acer is giving the Smartphone
industry a second try with the Acer Liquid S2 (after the not
very succesfull Acer Liquid S1). The Liquid S2 is the very first smartphone to
offer 4K video recording capabilties, it will have a 13
megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2 megapixel front camera which
records in 1080p. All this will be powered by the Snapdragon 800 chip at 2.2
GHz, 2GB of RAM, will run the latest
version of Android, will feature a battery of 3,300 mAh and will
support 4G LTE.
The Acer Liquid S2 will for now only be
available in Europe, we don’t know yet when or if it will be coming to the US.
The Liquid S2 will become available late October 2013.
Even though the Liquid S2 is the only
smartphone as of now that will be able to record 4K videos, it has been rumored
by many sources that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note which will most likely be
announced at Samsung IFA will also allow you to record 4K video.
