Even though the Ubuntu Edge missed its
crowd funding goal, Ubuntu is still going to launch its own mobile operation
system Ubuntu Smartphone OS which will be available October 17th
TheOrangeNotebook reports. As of now Ubuntu smartphone OS will only be compatible
with the Galaxy Nexus, Google Nexus 4, 7 and 10 but it is expected that it will
support more devices with future updates. There is currently a beta available
for the OS which developers “encourage users to download” and report bugs to
the developing Team in order to improve the final version. Here is the Ubuntu
